The popular mobile beat 'em up ARPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, will be shutting down on October 30th, 2024. This unexpected announcement, made via Netmarble's official forums, reveals that in-app purchases have already been disabled.
King of Fighters ALLSTAR enjoyed a successful six-year run, boasting numerous collaborations with prominent fighting game franchises. Its closure, however, is attributed at least in part to the depletion of characters available for adaptation from the King of Fighters roster, as detailed in the developer's announcement. While this is likely not the sole factor, it provides some insight into the decision.
