Director Ji-Won Choi recently treated Lies of P fans to a heartfelt message, combining a thank you to the community with exciting teases about upcoming DLC and a full sequel for the steampunk Pinocchio-inspired Soulslike game.

Celebrating the game's one-year anniversary, developer NEOWIZ shared Choi's letter, highlighting the team's dedication—working through Korea's summer heat—and expressing gratitude for the fans' unwavering support. The DLC, Choi promises, will build upon the base game's strengths while addressing previously reported issues. He emphasized the team's commitment to refining their work: "For the DLC and the sequel, we aim to do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow."

The most significant reveal? New concept art and a piece of music from the upcoming DLC. The artwork depicts P in a snowy location, gazing up at a lighthouse—a setting promising more peril and intrigue.

The accompanying music, while labeled "new," is actually a 2022 composition by "onoken," owned by NEOWIZ, and features a similar style to other Lies of P tracks. The music video showcases a character with a clockwork weapon, reminiscent of the game's atmosphere.

DLC Release Date and Beyond

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime in the second half of 2024, alongside other titles including The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Last November, an eight-minute video offered a sneak peek at early concept art, showcasing an industrial facility and a wrecked ship as potential DLC environments.

Choi concluded his message by assuring fans that their anticipation will be rewarded, and the DLC is only the beginning—a full sequel is already in development.
