Marvel Rivals Releases Two Free Battle Pass Skins

NetEase Games has pleasantly surprised the Marvel Rivals community by offering free skins for Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch as part of the Season 1: Eternal Night Falls battle pass. The season's narrative kicks off with Dracula trapping Doctor Strange and launching an assault on New York City, prompting the Fantastic Four to lead the counterattack. Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is live and will run from January 10 to April 11, 2025.

This new season introduces Marvel's First Family to the growing roster of playable characters. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are available at launch, while fans can anticipate the arrival of Human Torch and The Thing in the upcoming mid-season update. While not officially confirmed, leaks suggest Human Torch will be a Duelist, and The Thing will join as a new Vanguard character.

Players can obtain several free cosmetics without needing to purchase the premium battle pass. While the full "Luxury" pass requires 990 Lattice (approximately $10), dedicated players can unlock items like the Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch skins by earning Chrono Tokens through quests. Peni Parker's "Blue Tarantula" skin, featured on the battle pass's third page, revamps her suit and mech in a striking sky-blue and white design. Note that this free reward does not include a special emote or MVP animation.

Marvel Rivals Players Can Earn Free Skins for Peni Parker and Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch's "Emporium Matron" skin can be unlocked on the ninth page of the battle pass. This crimson and purple outfit features cosmic-themed detailing on the front. A matching emote is also available for free, though the accompanying MVP animation is exclusive to the premium pass. Additionally, the Season 1 "Midnight Features" event offers players the chance to earn a free Thor skin by completing specific challenges.

Alongside these free rewards, the in-game shop has been updated with new, villain-themed outfits for Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic. Invisible Woman's "Malice" skin sports a black and red aesthetic with spiked leather straps, while Mister Fantastic's "The Maker" costume presents a sleek, dark gray design with blue accents and a face-concealing mask. This wealth of new content has generated significant excitement among players for Marvel Rivals' latest season.
