To mark Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary, Capcom's celebrated action-RPG franchise has teamed up with Digimon to release the "Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition" V-Pet. This special edition features designs based on the iconic Rathalos and Zinogre monsters. Each device is priced at 7,700 Yen (approximately $53.2 USD), excluding shipping and other potential fees.
The Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition boasts a vibrant color LCD screen, utilizes UV printing technology, and includes a rechargeable battery. Key features include a "Cold Mode" to temporarily halt monster growth and stat changes, and a backup system to safeguard your progress.
Limited-Time Pre-Orders and Potential Global Release
Pre-orders are currently open through Bandai's official Japanese online store. However, please be aware that these are Japan-exclusive releases, and international shipping will incur additional costs. Demand is incredibly high, with the devices reportedly selling out shortly after the announcement. The first pre-order window closes at 11:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET) today. Information regarding subsequent pre-orders will be shared via the official Digimon Web Twitter (X) account. The release date is currently slated for April 2025. A global release has yet to be announced.
