Netmarble’s Beat 'Em Up King Of Fighters ALLSTAR Is Shutting Down Soon

Netmarble's popular action RPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is officially shutting down on October 30th, 2024. This news, recently posted on Netmarble's forums, is disappointing for many fans. The in-game store has already been closed since June 26th, 2024.

The reasons behind the closure remain somewhat unclear. While the developers hinted at a potential lack of new fighters to adapt from the King of Fighters franchise, this likely isn't the sole factor. The game, despite boasting impressive animations and engaging PvP combat and enjoying millions of downloads, also experienced recent optimization issues and crashes, possibly contributing to the decision.

Despite its eventual struggles, King of Fighters ALLSTAR had a successful run of over six years, featuring numerous high-profile crossover events. Players still have approximately four months to experience the game's legendary battles before the servers shut down in October. You can download it from the Google Play Store.
