Nintendo has officially announced that preorders for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 will begin on April 9 in the United States and April 8 in the UK. The console itself will be available starting June 5, 2025, and is priced at $449.99. During today's full reveal, Nintendo also introduced the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle, priced at $499.99 in the United States. This bundle includes the system along with a download code for the Mario Kart World game, available from the launch day. For those opting to purchase Mario Kart World separately, the game carries a suggested retail price of $79.99.

Currently, you can register your interest with Nintendo for preorders of the Nintendo Switch 2 and its accessories via the My Nintendo Store. Notifications for preorders will be sent out via email on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to users who have a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership and have logged at least 50 gameplay hours by April 2, 2025. After priority users, remaining eligible registrants will receive invitations. These invitations are non-transferable and valid for 72 hours. Each account is limited to purchasing one system and one of each accessory. All major retailers are expected to start accepting preorders on April 9, 2025.
