Nintendo Unveils App for Fans: News and Content Hub

by Andrew May 07,2025

Nintendo Today, the latest app from the creators of Super Mario Bros., promises to deliver Nintendo news directly to fans like never before. Announced by gaming icon Shigeru Miyamoto during the March 2025 Nintendo Direct, this app is now available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play, offering a range of exciting features for Nintendo enthusiasts.

Serving as a comprehensive hub, Nintendo Today functions as a daily calendar and news platform, providing real-time updates to keep players in the loop. Miyamoto highlighted that following next week's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, fans can use the app to stay updated with daily news and developments. The app aims to keep fans engaged even outside of major announcements, delivering a constant stream of fresh content.

As you log in each day, you'll be greeted by beloved characters from Mario, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, and more, adding a personal touch to your daily news experience. The app's feed will not only provide the latest news but also feature Nintendo-themed content such as the "Too Stuck to Pluck" Pikmin 4 comic and "Pearls of Wisdom" from Animal Crossing's Pascal.

While Nintendo Today may not be the major reveal like Zelda or Super Smash Bros. that some fans were anticipating at the end of the Direct, it offers another avenue for fans to stay connected with the world of Nintendo.
