Parallel Experiment: A Co-op Crime Thriller Coming to Steam and Mobile
Eleven Puzzles' Parallel Experiment, a cooperative crime thriller puzzler, is set to launch on Steam this March. A mobile demo is also planned for iOS and Android later in the year, with a full mobile release to follow.
This intriguing title draws inspiration from cooperative puzzlers like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. Players take on the roles of detectives Ally and Old Dog, working together across separate locations to solve a series of interconnected puzzles. Effective communication and shared problem-solving are key to success.
Featuring over 80 puzzles, an in-game notebook for clue tracking, cooperative dialogue, and a stylish noir comic book aesthetic, Parallel Experiment promises a unique and engaging experience. The developers have even included fun interactive elements, allowing players to playfully annoy each other by knocking on windows or poking their partner.
What's in the box?! Cross-platform play is a key feature, enhancing the cooperative aspect. While desktop players can easily communicate via platforms like Discord, mobile players will need to find creative ways to collaborate and even playfully distract each other.
While the co-op puzzle genre isn't new, the developers have leveraged extensive testing to optimize the experience for mobile platforms.
