Path of Exile 2: Stellar Amulets Explained

Path of Exile 2's bustling trade chat frequently features high demand for White Stellar Amulets, often fetching 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs. The reason behind this significant value often eludes players. Those paying this price either need the amulet for a specific build or plan to transform it into something even more valuable. Let's clarify the situation for both buyers and sellers.

Why are White Stellar Amulets so Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

Normal-rarity Stellar Amulets (those with only the implicit "+# to All Attributes") are key ingredients in crafting the incredibly valuable Astramentis Stellar Amulet. This transformation is achieved using an Orb of Chance.

Astramentis's power stems from its massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes exceptionally well with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another highly sought-after Unique item, enhancing attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.

Crucially, only White Stellar Amulets can create Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets won't work, making the normal amulets far more valuable than their upgraded counterparts.

Sell or Gamble? The White Stellar Amulet Dilemma

The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are incredibly low. Even using 100 amulets might not guarantee success. While luck could strike, it's a highly improbable outcome.

The choice is yours: sell your White Stellar Amulets for a guaranteed 10-30 Exalted Orbs (market price dependent), or take a massive risk for a potentially enormous reward. It's a high-stakes gamble, a personal decision for each player.

Using the Orb of Chance for Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt the gamble, place the Normal Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. Possible outcomes include:

  • Amulet destruction.
  • Upgrade to a unique sharing the same base. Two possibilities exist:
    1. Astramentis (the desired outcome)
    2. Fixation of Yix (a much less valuable alternative)

Remember, amulet destruction is the most likely outcome if the gamble fails.
