The Magical Magus utilizes powerful skills, primarily fire-based attacks. Equipping fire-resistant accessories (found in golden chests throughout Yukiko's Castle) is highly recommended. These accessories also prove beneficial in the final boss battle.
When the Magical Magus begins charging magic, guard on your next turn. It frequently uses Agilao, a potent magic spell capable of eliminating unprepared party members. While Hysterical Slap inflicts significant physical damage (two hits), Agilao poses the greater threat. Strategically, it's advisable for Chie and Yosuke to focus on guarding, minimizing their risk of being defeated, while the protagonist utilizes light-based attacks.
