Pokémon TCG Pocket Debuts on Android with Nostalgic Retro Set

Pokémon TCG Pocket is now out on mobile. The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is bringing the fun of collecting Pokémon cards digitally. It’s a world of booster packs, epic card artwork and quick battles.

Is it Free?

Yes, Pokémon TCG Pocket is totally free to start. From the get-go, you get to open two booster packs daily. Each booster pack has a wonder pick feature where you might get lucky enough to pick a card from packs opened by other players across the globe.

Pokémon TCG Pocket has a full customization setup where you can ‘deck’ up your decks and collections with binders and display boards. There are playmats, card sleeves and coins to make your collection look unique and more fun.

The battles are quick, and there’s even an auto-battle feature. And for any newcomers or casual players, the devs have introduced rental decks and auto-build options to help you get the hang of the game fast.

The artwork on the cards is fantastic, needless to say. It’ll bring nostalgia if you’re someone who used to play with them as a kid. Some cards even use parallax to create a 3D look, so the Pokémon are practically popping out of the screen, ready for battle.

Speaking of its art, why don’t you take a look at what the game looks like on mobile?

To Kick Things Off, Pokémon TCG Pocket Has a First Expansion Set!

Called Genetic Apex, it highlights some of the original Kanto region Pokémon. This classic lineup expansion is kind of a welcome throwback. Also, starting in November, there’ll be a digital pack opening feature on YouTube. It’ll let you relive the booster pack in video form too.

So, go ahead and grab Pokémon TCG Pocket from the Google Play Store.
