Pokémon Go sees every Community Day Pokémon return for end-of-year Catch-a-thon

Niantic is launching a final Catch-a-thon event for Pokémon Go in 2024, offering a second chance to catch Community Day Pokémon and earn exclusive rewards, including Shiny variants.

This two-day event takes place on December 21st and 22nd, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. Featured Pokémon include:

  • December 21st: Bellsprout, Chansey, Goomy, Rowlet, Litten, and Bounsweet.
  • December 22nd: Mankey, Ponyta, Galarian Ponyta, Sewaddle, Tynamo, and Popplio.

During the final ten minutes of each hour, players can encounter Porygon, Cyndaquil, Bagon, and Beldum. The event also features 2x XP for catching Pokémon and 2x Stardust, along with other rewards. Full details are available on the official Pokémon Go website.

Following a year of significant updates, including the introduction of Gigantamax Pokémon, Niantic is concluding the year with one last major community event. While the timing might seem close to the holidays, dedicated Pokémon Go players are sure to participate.
