Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the upcoming festivities!
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place across three global cities:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th
More details will be revealed in March 2025. Remember, event details are subject to change, but we'll keep you updated.
This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses. In-person events provide unique experiences within each host city, including special features and merchandise. Ticket purchase is required for participation in both in-person and online events.
Expect the appearance of rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay, increased Shiny Pokémon encounter rates, and themed events within the host cities. In-person attendees will also enjoy exclusive merchandise, habitat-themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges. While specifics are still under wraps, the event will closely resemble previous iterations.
Two More Pokémon GO Events in January
Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two additional events for January 2025:

Fashion Week: Taken Over: January 15th (12:00 pm) - January 19th (8:00 pm) local time. Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Shroodle and Grafaiai debut, hatching from 12km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon will appear, and you might even encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk!

Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh): January 19th (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm) local time. Challenge Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight extra Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh encounters are boosted, and lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
