Hunting behemoths isn't the only way to enjoy Monster Hunter Rise. For those seeking the "A Prize Held High" trophy or achievement, the key isn't a fearsome dragon, but the surprisingly elusive Curioshell Crab. This little crustacean is your target, and your trusty Capture Net is your weapon of choice.
Finding this speedy critter can be tricky, as it roams various maps. However, we've found a reliable spot: the Scarlet Forest. Head to Area 6 (Flowering Rocks pop-up camp). If you haven't discovered this camp yet, it's nestled between Areas 2 and 6. Near the water puddle in this area, the Curioshell Crab frequently spawns. If you're having trouble spotting it, your palico, Alma, can offer a helpful clue—she'll mention if a creature is holding something, indicating a nearby Curioshell Crab.
Equip your Capture Net, aim for the orange reticle, and snag the crab! A successful capture nets you both the Curioshell Crab and an Ancient Wyvern Coin. Remember, this crab is quick, so anticipate its movements and aim ahead of its path for a better chance of capturing it. Other potential locations include Area 13 of the Windward Plains and Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest, although the Curioshell Crab may also appear in other areas.
That's all you need to know to claim the "A Prize Held High" trophy or achievement in Monster Hunter Rise. For more hunting tips and tricks, check out The Escapist.
