The new year has been bustling with exciting updates for *Pokemon GO* players, with the addition of new Pokemon to catch, including the adorable Fidough. Now, trainers are gearing up for the arrival of Shroodle, the Toxic Mouse Pokemon. However, like many of the recent additions, obtaining Shroodle won't be as simple as encountering it in the wild.
When Did Shroodle Come to Pokemon GO?
Shroodle makes its debut in *Pokemon GO* on January 15, 2025, during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in *Pokemon Scarlet & Violet*, Shroodle brings a fresh face to the ever-expanding *Pokemon GO* universe. Following its debut, trainers will have ongoing opportunities to add Shroodle to their collections.
Can Shroodle Be Shiny?
At its initial release, Shroodle will not have a Shiny variant available in *Pokemon GO*. Fans hoping to encounter a Shiny Shroodle will need to wait for a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokemon or involving Team GO Rocket, before they can add this rare variant to their Pokedex.

How To Get Shroodle in Pokemon GO

In keeping with recent trends, Shroodle won't be found roaming freely in the wild. Instead, trainers will need to hatch Shroodle from 12KM eggs. These eggs, available starting at 12 AM local time on January 15, offer a chance to hatch Shroodle. While the probability may increase during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, Shroodle will remain part of the 12KM egg pool post-event.
How To Get 12K Eggs
Given that Shroodle is exclusively obtained through 12KM eggs, it's crucial to understand how to acquire these eggs. 12KM eggs are among the rarer types in *Pokemon GO* and can only be obtained by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders or Giovanni. The Taken Over event presents a prime opportunity to amass these eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more active, and Rocket Radars will be more accessible. You can challenge Team GO Rocket Grunts to eventually face Sierra, Arlo, or Cliff, earning a 12KM egg if you have inventory space.
How To Get Grafaiai in Pokemon GO

Alongside Shroodle, its evolution, Grafaiai, also joins *Pokemon GO* on January 15. Unlike Shroodle, Grafaiai cannot be hatched from eggs or encountered in the wild. The only way to obtain Grafaiai is by evolving a Shroodle, which requires 50 Shroodle Candy. Trainers will need to hatch multiple Shroodle or set it as their buddy to collect the necessary candies for the evolution.
*Pokemon GO is available to play now*.
