New Tony Hawk Game Speculation Intensifies
During a recent appearance on YouTube's Mythical Kitchen, the skateboarding icon revealed plans for a 25th-anniversary celebration. While details remain scarce, Hawk stated, "I've been talking to Activision again, which is insanely exciting. We're working on something—This is the first time I've said that publicly," promising fans something they'll truly appreciate.
The original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater launched on September 29, 1999, and propelled the franchise to massive success. Numerous sequels followed, and a remastered collection of THPS 1+2 was released in 2020. Plans for remastered versions of Pro Skater 3 and 4 were initially in the works but ultimately shelved following the closure of Vicarious Visions.
THPS Social Media Hints at Celebrations
In the lead-up to the anniversary, official THPS social media channels unveiled new artwork and announced a giveaway for the THPS 1+2 Collector's Edition.
The recent news has ignited speculation about a potential new game announcement. Rumors suggest a reveal could coincide with a Sony State of Play event this month. However, nothing is confirmed, and Hawk hasn't specified whether it's a new game or a revival of the canceled remaster project.
