Uncover the Secrets: Guide to Acquiring Warped Wire in NieR: Automata

NieR: Automata boasts a wide array of enemy types, each potentially dropping unique materials crucial for pod and weapon upgrades. While many materials are acquired naturally during gameplay, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints an efficient Warped Wire farming location.

Warped Wire Farming Location in NieR: Automata

Warped Wire is a possible drop from stacked bipedal machines. These enemies are uncommon, but a specific area offers consistent spawns. Fast travel to the Desert Camp access point and proceed along the path towards the main desert. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse mountainous terrain following a pipe, passing through some ruins. This section consistently spawns multiple stacked machines.

Two small clearings near ruined structures are ideal farming spots. All machines near these buildings are the stacked variety. Warped Wire has a reasonable drop rate; expect one or two per clearing. Utilizing a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip significantly accelerates this process.

Respawning Enemies for Faster Farming:

To expedite farming, employ these enemy respawning techniques:

  • Fast Travel: Fast travel to a different location and then return to Desert Camp. This resets all enemies.
  • Run Away and Return: Moving a significant distance and returning will also respawn enemies, although fast traveling is considerably quicker.

Chip Recommendations:

For optimal efficiency, consider these chip upgrades:

  • Drop Rate Up: Highly recommended given the frequency of material farming required for weapon and pod upgrades.
  • Movement Speed Up: While offering only minor time savings here, it proves invaluable for completing timed quests.

By following these steps, you can efficiently acquire the Warped Wire needed to upgrade your equipment in NieR: Automata.
