"Unlock Gold Armor in Black Ops 6 Zombies Tomb Guide"

by Hunter Apr 04,2025

In *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* Zombies, armor is a crucial component of any Operator's arsenal. For those looking to enhance their armor beyond the standard Tier 3, a new Easter egg on The Tomb map offers the chance to acquire the coveted Gold Armor Vest. Here's a detailed guide on how to obtain the Gold Armor Vest in *Black Ops 6* Zombies.

What Does Gold Armor Do in Black Ops 6 Zombies?

Gold Armor, first introduced in *Modern Warfare 3* Zombies, addresses players' frustrations with the constant need to re-plate armor after taking damage. In *Black Ops 6*, Gold Armor continues this functionality by automatically repairing itself over time. Even without armor plates in your inventory, the Gold Armor Vest will slowly regenerate, making it an essential tool for resource management and ensuring you're protected against powerful enemies like Amalgams, preventing one-hit downs.

How To Get Gold Armor on The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies

To secure the Gold Armor on The Tomb in *Black Ops 6* Zombies, follow these steps:

  • Acquire 2 statue heads from the Dark Aether Nexus.
  • Place the statue heads on the ruined statues in the Dig Site.
  • Activate and survive two "Blood Sacrifices."
  • Purchase the Gold Armor Vest in the Roman Mausoleum.

Where To Find the Statue Heads in The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies

To initiate the Blood Sacrifices required to unlock the Gold Armor, players must first locate two statue heads within the Dark Aether Nexus. These heads are essential for repairing the Roman statues in the Dig Site area of the map.

The statue heads are found inside wooden boxes within the Dark Aether Nexus. Players must destroy these boxes using melee attacks to reveal the heads. Once a box is destroyed, hold the interact button to pick up the statue head.

The first head is located near a palm tree in the corner of the Dark Aether Nexus, close to the green Gateway portal. The second head is easier to find, positioned near the Juggernog Perk Machine on the same raised platform.

How To Use the Statue Heads on The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies

After collecting both statue heads, return to the Dig Site near The Tomb's initial spawn point. You'll find two Roman Statues here. The first is near the Ammo Cache, by the door leading out of spawn towards the Neolithic Catacombs. Interact with the statue to place the head and repair it.

The second statue is further up in the Dig Site, near the Roman Mausoleum, which houses a Pack-a-Punch machine spawn point. Interact with this statue to place the second head.

Once both heads are placed, a new UI prompt will appear when approaching the statues, instructing players to begin a Blood Sacrifice. This challenge is highly demanding, so preparation is key.

How To Survive the Blood Sacrifice in Black Ops 6 Zombies

The Blood Sacrifice spawns at least three powerful HVT versions of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. In solo matches, three HVTs appear, while more spawn in co-op based on the number of players. During the challenge, players are locked at 1 HP, with all damage directed to their armor plates. It's crucial to have a Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates before starting.

The Blood Sacrifice does not despawn existing enemies, so it's best to activate it at the end of a round. Players cannot heal or use powerful support like Chopper Gunners and Mutant Injections during the challenge. However, there are strategies to make it easier.

For solo players, using a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler, who can take no damage, is effective. As you start the Blood Sacrifice, spam the input to activate the Mutant Injection. If timed correctly, you'll transform just as the challenge begins. Then, let the HVTs surround you and melee them until they're defeated.

In co-op, not all players need to be in the Dig Site to activate the challenge. One player can start it from within the Dig Site while another player outside calls in a Chopper Gunner as the challenge begins. The player inside should train the HVTs to be visible from above, allowing the Chopper Gunner to take them out.

After completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available as a free Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.

And that's how to obtain the Gold Armor on The Tomb in *Black Ops 6* Zombies.
