Unlocking the Fire Seal in Fields of Mistria: A Guide

by Allison May 19,2025

With the March 10 update in *Fields of Mistria*, you can now access the Fire Seal after clearing the preceding altars. To unlock it, you'll need to gather four specific items: a Faceted Rock Gem, Rockroot, an Emerald, and a Sealing Scroll. Here's how to acquire each of these offering items and successfully unlock the Fire Seal.

Where to Find Faceted Rock Gem in Fields of Mistria

The Faceted Rock Gem, a rare artifact, is hidden within the mines of Fields of Mistria. Ensure you're playing the latest version of the game and navigate through the mines to reach Floors 50-59. We discovered this gem on Floor 56 after some diligent digging. To find it, look for marked spots on the ground and use your pickaxe or shovel. Be prepared to spend time grinding these floors, as the Faceted Rock Gem isn't easy to come by.

Where to Find Rockroot in Fields of Mistria

Rockroot, a common forageable, can be found between Floors 50-59 in the mines. If you're a regular miner, you might already have this item in your inventory. If not, keep an eye out for a dark, root-like plant as shown in the image above. You'll only need one to satisfy the Priestess' altar requirements.

Where to Find Emerald in Fields of Mistria

Emeralds are the easiest items to collect for the Fire Seal offerings. They're commonly found in geodes on Floors 50-59 of the mines. If you haven't stored any, you should be able to gather what you need quickly. Alternatively, you can obtain Emeralds by breaking large boulders around Mistria or purchasing them at Balor's Wagon for just 200 tesserae. If you've unlocked the Stone Refinery with the March 2025 update, you can also craft them yourself.

How to Get the Sealing Scroll in Fields of Mistria

The Sealing Scroll, the final item needed to break the Fire Seal, is part of a quest that starts after you meet Juniper upon discovering the seal. You'll need to recruit Balor to order the scroll, but it comes with a cost. To acquire the Sealing Scroll, you must provide:

  • 10 Silver Ingots
  • 10 Rubies
  • 10 Sapphires
  • 10 Emeralds

If you're short on any of these, you can find them in the mines. Once you've gathered the required items, deposit them in the bin by Balor's Wagon.

Unlocking the Fire Seal

With the Sealing Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, and Rockroot in your inventory, return to Floor 60 of the mines to make your offering. This action will unlock the Fire Seal, revealing a new biome and much more during the Early Access phase.

NOTE: *Fields of Mistria* is currently in Early Access, and its content may change. The information provided is accurate as of Version 0.13.0 and will be updated if necessary.
