As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the thrilling Final Strike: GO Battle Week is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through to May 27th. This final week is your chance to bring your Kubfu's journey to a triumphant close.
What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?
After weeks of dedication, you can now evolve your determined Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct forms. Your battle strategy will determine which form you unlock: the Single Strike or the Rapid Strike style.
To achieve the Single Strike style, set Kubfu as your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.
Additionally, a Special Research storyline continues the seasonal narrative, available until June 3rd, 2025. This research rewards you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, featuring a Special Background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, you'll enjoy several exciting bonuses.
You'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage cap for Max Particles increases to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. During this window, you'll receive 8× Max Particles from Power Spots and gain the ability to make two extra Special Trades.
Don't overlook the opportunity to gather Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, though the power boost remains constant.
