Vanillite Stars in April 2025 Pokémon Go Community Day: Snowy Spring Fun

by Aurora May 05,2025

We may be heading into the Spring season, but April is bringing a chill to Pokémon Go as Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Pokémon, takes the spotlight during next month's Community Day event. Set to take place on April 27th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm local time, Vanillite will appear more frequently in the wild. If you're lucky, you might even encounter its Shiny variant, adding an extra layer of excitement to your hunt.

The thrill continues beyond just catching Vanillite in Pokémon Go. If you evolve it into Vanilluxe during the event or up to May 4th, it will learn the special Charged Attack, Avalanche. In Trainer Battles, Avalanche boasts a powerful 90 power, while in Gyms and Raids, it delivers an impressive 85 power, making it a valuable addition to your battle strategy.

For those eager to dive deeper into the frosty fun, a Community Day Special Research ticket is available for just $2. By completing the tasks, you'll enjoy encounters with Vanillite featuring a Might and Mastery-themed special background, along with additional Vanillite encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and more.

There’s also a Timed Research opportunity that extends through the following week, offering another chance to snag a Vanillite with the exclusive backdrop. Furthermore, event-themed Field Research tasks will provide opportunities to earn Stardust, Great Balls, and additional encounters with Vanillite. You might even find tasks leading to a Vanillite with a special event background.

Throughout the event, several bonuses will be active to enhance your experience. You'll earn triple XP for catches, double Candy for each Pokémon caught, and Trainers level 31 and above will have double the odds of receiving Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours, and there will be discounts on trading, making it an ideal time to boost your Pokémon Go progress.
