Get ready for an exhilarating cosmic journey with the launch of LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars, set to ignite later this month. This patch introduces a sweeping transformation across the game, from revamped menus to a stellar battlefield set in the Dual Nova galaxy. Here, you'll navigate through the realms of the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star, promising a thrilling adventure like no other.
Three new champions are ready to shake up the battlefield with their unique abilities. Ryze, the Rune Mage, brings powerful Area of Effect (AoE) damage and can strategically reposition his team with Realm Warp. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives in chaos, using his Paranoia to envelop enemies in darkness, disrupting their vision. Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time, slowing foes and offering a second chance at life with Chronoshift.
In addition to these new additions, several champions are undergoing significant reworks. Garen’s Courage ability now scales over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment will effectively shred enemy armor. Ambessa transitions from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage output and life steal capabilities. Smaller but impactful changes are also on the way for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a fresh play experience.
Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will spice up non-Ranked modes. This includes the introduction of Enchanted Gifts that emerge through portals during the laning phase, adding an extra layer of strategy. Mages will rejoice with new item updates, including the Bandle Fantasy item that boosts burst damage, Hextech GLP800 for slowing enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance, which amplifies ultimate abilities to make spellcasters even more formidable.
Ranked mode is also getting an overhaul with the start of a new season alongside the Challenger’s Star launch. Expect updates to the Ranked store and a more streamlined way to earn seasonal rewards. Mid-patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM, an exciting twist on ARAM with new augments and mesmerizing galactic visuals.
The Wild Pass will feature two breathtaking skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate’s new look will debut an entirely new skinline, adding to the visual feast of this update.
