WoW Patch 11.1: New Character Customization Feature Introduced with a Catch

Summary

• Noggenfogger Select elixirs in WoW allow for temporary adjustments to character height, stackable up to 10 times.
• These potions offer subtle height changes, providing a versatile customization option for players.
• Patch 11.1, Undermined, introduces new story developments for The War Within and enhanced visuals for WoW classes.

World of Warcraft is introducing two new consumable potions that allow players to tweak their character's height for a limited duration. These Noggenfogger Select elixirs are an affordable and convenient way to enhance character customization in World of Warcraft, offering an alternative to the more permanent height sliders.

Patch 11.1, known as Undermined, is now accessible on the Public Test Realm, providing players with a sneak peek at upcoming features. This update not only brings compelling plot twists to The War Within storyline but also revamps the visuals for several World of Warcraft classes, promising an enriched gaming experience.

A standout feature of Patch 11.1 is the introduction of consumable items that significantly enhance character customization. The Noggenfogger Select UP and Noggenfogger Select DOWN potions allow players to adjust their character's height subtly, stacking up to 10 times. These effects last for 30 minutes and remain active even after death, making them ideal for roleplaying, dungeon runs, raids, or capturing memorable screenshots. Players can purchase these potions from Alchemist Pestlezugg in the Vatworks, the main Steemwheedle reputation hub in the new Undermine zone of Patch 11.1, for just over three gold each. These potions are unbound and not level-locked, making them easily tradable among characters of any level.

World of Warcraft Height-Adjustment Items in Patch 11.1

While other items in the game can dramatically alter a character's size, the Noggenfogger Select potions provide more nuanced adjustments. Even with the maximum of 10 stacks, the height change is only a few inches, as demonstrated in screenshots from Wowhead. This makes them perfect for players seeking subtle modifications to their character's appearance, unlike the more drastic effects of items such as the Elixir of Giant Growth or the original Noggenfogger Elixir.

Additionally, Alchemist Pestlezugg offers the Noggenfogger Select FRESH, a potion exclusive to Goblins, which enables them to perform the stylish, NPC-only lean emote. While other races have similar emotes within the game files, only Goblins can access this feature through the new consumable.

The community's response to these new tonics has been enthusiastic, though many players hope for a more permanent solution to height customization. A height slider seems unlikely without a major overhaul of the character customization system. In the meantime, players can use items like the Seabed Leviathan's Citrine in Cyrce's Circlets, play as Colossus Warriors, or rely on Noggenfogger Select and similar consumables to manage their character's height.
