To use Piston as a car scanner, you'll need a separate ELM327-based Bluetooth or WiFi adapter. The app supports OBD-II and EOBD standards.
All vehicles sold in the US since 1996 must support OBD2 standards.
In the European Union, EOBD became mandatory for petrol vehicles from 2001 and diesel vehicles from 2004. Australia and New Zealand require OBD2 for petrol cars from 2006 and diesel cars from 2007.
Note: This app can only access data that your vehicle provides through the OBD2 standard.
