Marvel Rivals Players Have an Idea to Improve Proficiency Rewards

Marvel Rivals' Reward System Under Fire: Players Demand More Accessible Nameplates

Players of Marvel Rivals are expressing frustration over the difficulty of obtaining nameplates without making in-app purchases. The current system, primarily tied to the battle pass, leaves many feeling locked out of these coveted customization options. This has sparked a lively debate within the community, with suggestions for improvement flooding online forums.

The recent Season 1 update, while adding substantial content including new characters (Sue Storm and Mister Fantastic), hasn't addressed this core issue. While the battle pass offers an array of rewards, including skins, sprays, and emotes, the scarcity of freely obtainable nameplates remains a point of contention. Nameplates, alongside skins, are key ways players personalize their in-game experience.

A Reddit user, DaPurpleDerpleOf, proposed a straightforward solution: converting Lore Banners into nameplate rewards. This would provide a readily accessible alternative to the current, often pay-to-obtain, system. The argument is further strengthened by the opinion that many players find Lore Banners less desirable than nameplates.

Adding fuel to the fire, players are also advocating for the inclusion of nameplates within the Proficiency Point reward system. Currently, Proficiency Points, earned through gameplay and character mastery, unlock a range of rewards, but the absence of nameplates is seen as a significant oversight. Many players believe that nameplates would be a fitting reward for demonstrating skill and character proficiency, calling the omission a missed opportunity. The current Proficiency rewards, while appreciated, are considered insufficient by a large segment of the player base.

With Season 1 extending to mid-April and the remaining Fantastic Four characters slated for future release, there's hope among players that developers will address these concerns and implement changes to make nameplates more readily available to all players.
