- Confirm your entry using the appropriate button (5, , or > depending on your radio model; e.g., 5 for Ford 6000CD, for Sony, > for most VW, Audi, Skoda, and Seat).
Troubleshooting SAFE/LOCKED/WAIT/ERROR Messages:
All radios have anti-theft measures. Excessive incorrect code attempts will result in a lockout.
- Ford: "WAIT" requires leaving the radio on for 30 minutes. "LOCKED" or "LOCKED10" requires holding button 6 for ten seconds (you may get three more attempts). "LOCKED13" indicates a semi-permanent block requiring dealer assistance.
- VW (Volkswagen): "SAFE" or "SAFE2" after three incorrect attempts requires leaving the unit on for 60 minutes.
