Valve Unveils Final Team Fortress 2 Comic for Smissmas

by Leo May 14,2025

In a surprising turn of events that feels almost like a miracle, fans of the beloved team-based shooter Team Fortress 2 have finally been rewarded for their patience. Valve has released a new comic, a development that was announced on the official game website. Titled "The Days Have Worn Away," this is the seventh numbered issue and the 29th release overall, encompassing both event and thematic stories. It's been a long wait since the last TF2 comic graced our screens back in 2017.

Valve's developers took a light-hearted approach to the situation, likening the creation of this comic to the construction of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They quipped that while the original builders of that iconic Italian structure didn't live to see its completion, Team Fortress 2 players only had to endure a wait of "just" seven years.

The comic itself is a rich tapestry that neatly concludes the ongoing storyline. There's a strong indication that this might be the final issue, as hinted by Erik Wolpaw's tweet on X about "the very last meeting for the Team Fortress 2 comic." While it may mark the end of an era, fans can take solace in the closure provided and the festive spirit it brings, especially with its timely release around the holiday season.
