Get ready for a fiery showdown! Pokémon GO announces a Shadow Raid Day featuring the legendary Ho-Oh on January 19th, 2025. This marks the first Shadow Raid Day of the year, giving trainers another shot at capturing this powerful Fire-type Pokémon.
This event builds on the success of Shadow Raids introduced in 2023, offering a unique way to obtain these powerful variants. Following the popular Shadow Moltres and Shadow Mewtwo events of 2024, trainers can now prepare for another exciting challenge.
Event Details:
- Date & Time: Sunday, January 19th, 2025, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time.
- Featured Pokémon: Shadow Ho-Oh with increased shiny encounter rates.
- Raid Passes: Spin Gyms to receive up to seven free Raid Passes (a $5 ticket boosts this to 15).
- Special Move: Teach your Shadow Ho-Oh the devastating Charged Attack, Sacred Fire (130 power in Trainer Battles, 120 in Raids/Gyms) using a Charged TM.
Boost Your Raid Day with a Special Ticket:
For a more rewarding experience, a $5 ticket will be available. This ticket unlocks the following bonuses, lasting until 10 pm local time on January 19th:
- Increased Raid Pass limit to 15.
- Higher chance of obtaining Rare Candy XL.
- 50% bonus XP from raids.
- Double Stardust from raids.
