Free Fire to debut new Winterlands: Aurora event to mark the festive season

by Isabella Dec 19,2024

Free Fire's Winterlands 2024 update brings a frosty chill to the battlegrounds! This exciting update introduces Koda, a new character with unique arctic abilities, and thrilling new movement mechanics.

Koda, a young man from the arctic, utilizes a mystical fox mask granting him enhanced senses. His Aurora Vision ability allows players to spot enemies hidden behind cover (unless crouching or prone) and highlights enemy locations during parachuting.

The centerpiece of the update is Frosty Tracks – ice-covered rails that enable players to dash across the map while shooting, turning, and using throwables. These tracks, featured in both Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes, also contain Coin Machines dispensing 100 FF coins upon activation.

Winterlands 2024 also features Aurora Events in both game modes. In Battle Royale, find aurora-affected Coin Machines; in Clash Squad, look for aurora-affected Supply Gadgets. Interacting with these items completes event quests and provides buffs to all teammates.
