The long-awaited remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has sparked excitement across gaming communities following a leak on developer Virtuos' website. Screenshots and images showcasing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered have surfaced, revealing significant upgrades in visual models, details, and overall fidelity.

These images, which were discovered and widely shared on platforms like ResetEra and Reddit, were originally hosted on Virtuos' site. However, as of now, accessing the Virtuos website has become challenging, with most pages beyond the main landing page currently unavailable.

According to reports from VGC, the remastered version, officially titled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, is a collaborative effort between Virtuos and Bethesda's studios in Dallas and Rockville. Virtuos, known for their expertise in remastering games, has previously worked on titles such as The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition.

The remaster is set to launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S (available on Game Pass), and PlayStation 5. A Deluxe Edition is also in the works, which will include exclusive bonuses such as weapons and horse armor, playfully referencing the infamous 2006 DLC.

Rumors of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion being remastered have been circulating for years, with initial hints appearing in leaked documents from the Microsoft-FTC trial in 2023. Subsequent reports suggested an imminent release, with some even hinting at a possible shadow-drop this month.

Although no official statement or announcement has been made yet, the overwhelming evidence points to the imminent arrival of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
