Schell Games and Innersloth, the masterminds behind Among Us 3D, have set the stage for an unforgettable gaming experience. On April 16, the official Among Us 3D Twitter (X) account thrilled fans by announcing that the game will launch on May 6, 2025.
Originally known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to provide a more inclusive experience with its cross-play multiplayer feature. This week, the developers also introduced a new currency called Stardust, which offers players endless flexibility in choosing their in-game purchases.
Among Us 3D is packed with exciting features, including a permanent Tag Mode with the new Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, a mix of new and returning mini-games, and a variety of fresh cosmetics.
It's important to note that Among Us 3D is a distinct entity from the original Among Us VR, which was released in 2022. Cross-play between these two games won't be available. According to the FAQs on Schell Games' website, Among Us 3D is designed to be a unique game.
