inZOI NPCs Use AI To Be Like Real Humans

inZOI, powered by NVIDIA Ace AI, will feature incredibly realistic and engaging human-like NPCs. This article explores NVIDIA Ace's role in creating a truly immersive experience.

A Simulated City Bursting with Life

Krafton, the developer of inZOI, is leveraging NVIDIA's Ace AI technology to bring its NPCs, known as Smart Zois, to life. These advanced AI citizens will react authentically to their environment, shaping their behaviors based on individual experiences.

An NVIDIA GeForce YouTube video, "NVIDIA ACE | inZOI - Create Simulated Cities with Co-Playable Characters," showcases the Smart Zois' independent actions. When enabled, they actively participate in city life, pursuing personal schedules, working, socializing, and more. Even without direct player interaction, Smart Zois influence each other.

For instance, a kind Smart Zoi might assist others, offering food or directions. A grateful Smart Zoi could become a street performer's enthusiastic supporter, attracting a crowd. The in-game "Thought" system lets players delve into the Smart Zois' motivations. Daily self-reflection further shapes their future actions.

The video concludes that the diverse Smart Zois create a vibrant, unpredictable city, resulting in a richly dynamic and story-driven simulation.

inZOI launches in Early Access on March 28th, 2025, on Steam for PC. Learn more about inZOI in our other articles!
