"Amazon's Reacher Season 3 Tops Prime Video Views Since Fallout"

by Owen May 01,2025

Reacher Season 3 has emerged as a blockbuster success for Amazon, marking it as the most-watched returning season ever on Prime Video. In fact, it's the most-viewed season on the platform since the debut of Fallout, amassing an impressive audience over its first 19 days.

The series follows the adventures of Jack Reacher, portrayed by Alan Ritchson, a former major in the U.S. Army's military police. Reacher's journey across the United States is filled with encounters that invariably lead him into trouble, often through no fault of his own. His days are spent battling villains and unraveling mysteries, showcasing his prowess as both the most dangerous and intelligent man in his orbit.

Season 3 introduces a formidable adversary in the form of Olivier Richters, a Dutch giant standing at an astonishing 7 feet 2 inches, who challenges Reacher in ways he hasn't experienced before.

According to Variety, Reacher Season 3 attracted a staggering 54.6 million viewers globally within its first 19 days. This viewership is nearly expansive enough to cover the broad shoulders of Alan Ritchson himself. The season also saw a slight 0.5% increase in viewership compared to Season 2 over the same period, indicating that Reacher's appeal is not only holding steady but growing. The show's international success is particularly noteworthy, with over half of its audience coming from outside the U.S., and it has shown exceptional performance in the U.K., Germany, and Brazil.

For comparison, Fallout garnered 65 million viewers in its initial 16 days in April 2024, while The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 drew in 40 million viewers in the 11 days following its August 2024 premiere.

IGN’s review of Reacher Season 3 awarded it an 8/10, praising the show for its divergence from the source material and highlighting Reacher's increased ruthlessness. The review concluded that despite these changes, the series remains an immensely enjoyable experience.

Looking ahead, fans can rejoice as Reacher Season 4 has already been confirmed, having been greenlit even before Season 3 hit the screens.
