Two Pokémon from the Galar region are making their debut in Pokémon Go this month, bringing both sweetness and fire to your gameplay. From April 24th to 29th, the Sweet Discoveries event introduces the adorable Dragon/Grass-type, Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy along with 20 apples—either Tart Apples for Flapple or Sweet Apples for Appletun. These apples can be found in the wild, particularly around Mossy Lures, and might even lead to Applin encounters.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, expect to see wild spawns of Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will give you more opportunities to catch themed Pokémon like Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research offers both free and paid options to obtain Sweet and Tart Apples. Opting for the paid version grants you extra Mossy Lure Modules and additional Applin encounters.
Keep an eye out for the Applin Headband and Apron in the shop, and don't miss the PokéStop Showcases featuring these themed Pokémon. If you prefer power over cuteness, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th–27th, where Dynamax Entei will make its fiery entrance. There's even a chance to encounter a Shiny Entei.
Prepare for these events with a list of redeemable Pokémon Go codes!
The events come with several bonuses: an increased Max Particle cap, reduced distance to collect them, and higher Power Spot refresh rates. You'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot you visit. Starting April 21st, free Timed Research will be available, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to counter Entei's fiery might.
Stock up for both events by visiting the Pokémon Go Web Store.
