Studio Wildcard has recently unveiled an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing nearly two years' worth of updates for the game. Originally launched in early access in late November 2023, ARK: Survival Ascended, a remaster of the popular survival crafting game ARK: Survival Evolved, has been receiving regular content updates.
On January 11, Studio Wildcard, based in Redmond, Washington, shared its comprehensive roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. The first update on the agenda is a technical patch transitioning the game to Unreal Engine 5.5, which is expected to bring significant performance enhancements. Alongside this update, the developer plans to reintroduce support for Nvidia's frame generation technology, which had been removed in the latter half of 2024 due to engine issues.
ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

March 2025 | ASA Unreal Engine 5.5 update. |
April 2025 | Free Ragnarok Ascended, Bison (Free Creature), and a Fantastic Tame. |
June 2025 | A new premium map (to be announced). |

The UE5 update will also facilitate Studio Wildcard's ongoing efforts to restructure the game's data, enabling players to download individual ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs. This approach aims to manage the game's install size more effectively. In April 2025, the remaster will introduce new content, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.
A new premium map is scheduled for release in June 2025, with details to be announced possibly in early spring. In August 2025, another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature will be added to the game.
In 2026, Studio Wildcard will focus on remastering the Genesis expansions from ARK: Survival Evolved. Genesis: Part 1 is set to launch in April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026. Each release will coincide with a part of Bob's True Tales, a new content addition included in the game's season pass. The remastered Fjordur map is slated for a free update in December 2026. Additionally, three more Fantastic Tames are planned to be introduced throughout 2026.
While the roadmap provides a broad overview, Studio Wildcard may have additional surprises in store for players over the next two years.
