by Patrick May 14,2025

In *Wanderstop*, developed by Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive, players step into the shoes of Alta, a weary fighter seeking solace in managing a charming tea shop nestled within a magical forest. As you tend to the diverse clientele drawn to your shop, you'll encounter requests for coffee, which isn't part of your standard menu. Here's a comprehensive guide on unlocking and brewing coffee in *Wanderstop*.

Which Customers Want Coffee in Wanderstop?

During the fourth cycle of *Wanderstop*, a stunning humanoid bird graces your shop, seeking a refined cup of tea. Following her visit, a trio of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry arrive. Dressed in suits and carrying briefcases, they're en route to a boardroom for a presentation. Despite being off-course, they refuse Alta's offer of tea, insisting on coffee. Instead of departing when they learn coffee isn't available, they decide to wait it out.

Boro, the tea shop's owner, explains that coffee has never grown in the forest, leaving Alta initially frustrated. However, the arrival of an interdimensional figure named Zenith changes the game. Zenith, captivated by the businessmen, agrees to try tea when offered by Alta, marking their first experience with anything brewed in hot water other than coffee.

How to Unlock Coffee Beans in Wanderstop

To unlock coffee beans, prepare a cup of tea for Zenith with a valuable item. This item could range from a book, a trinket, a pot, a mug, a small plant, to a photograph. After savoring the tea, Zenith, intrigued by the distinction between tea and coffee, asks Alta what's needed to brew coffee. Alta's mention of "coffee beans" sparks a revelation for Zenith.

Utilizing the Infinite Path, Zenith summons coffee beans to the forest, allowing them to flourish in the clearing for the first time. Detailed instructions for harvesting and brewing these beans are added to Alta’s Field Guide.

How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop

Once summoned by Zenith, coffee beans grow wild in the clearing and respawn randomly. You can harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds or pick up objects. Store them in your ingredients pocket, carry one at a time in your hand, or place them on shelves, tables, floors, or the ground outside.

Before brewing, clean the coffee beans in the dishwasher, where they will be transported by the dish trains to the tea room. To brew, pour water into the tea maker and heat it as needed. Use one coffee bean to brew a basic cup, though customers might request additional beans or other ingredients. After brewing, pour the coffee into the kettle below and decant it into mugs for serving to customers, Boro, or Alta herself.

Introducing coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and offers a new option for other customers. Even Boro, though not a fan, is willing to give it a try.

That’s how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in *Wanderstop*.

*Wanderstop is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam.*
