Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has officially launched today, bringing with it a game-changing feature that simplifies the progression grind. The newly introduced Camo Challenge Tracking feature is a game-changer, and here's a comprehensive guide on how it works.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gives Simple Access to Camo Challenge Progress
The patch notes for the latest update to *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* highlight the Camo Challenge Tracking feature, stating: “The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion.”
This innovative feature allows players to manually select up to 10 camos to track, providing easy access to their progress at any time during gameplay. No more tedious menu navigation to check your progress; the tracker keeps you informed. Additionally, it sends notifications for challenges nearing completion, even if they aren't among the ones you've chosen to track.

How To Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6
To start tracking a challenge, navigate to the Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. On an Xbox controller, press the Y button; on a PlayStation controller, press the Triangle button to add the challenge to your tracker. This allows you to monitor your progress in real-time during live matches, eliminating the need to wait until after the game to check your next steps toward unlocking new camos.
Even if you don't manually select a challenge, the game automatically populates the tracker with challenges you're close to completing. This feature ensures you're always aware of what you're about to unlock, making it easier to focus on your goals.
The top tracked or near-complete camo and calling card challenges are also displayed in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby under the Daily Challenge section, providing a comprehensive list of what's close to being unlocked.
The Season 2 update has also made unlocking special camos more achievable. Previously, players needed to unlock nine military camos before accessing a special camo. Now, the requirement has been reduced to just five military camos. However, to earn the coveted mastery camos, players still need to unlock two special camos.
The community has long discussed the overwhelming number of camos per weapon and the challenges in tracking progress and achieving the necessary headshots and kills. It's clear that Treyarch has taken player feedback to heart, introducing more efficient ways to earn and equip camos, enhancing the overall experience of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
