Dark and Darker Mobile's new pre-season #3, aptly named "Grappling with the Abyss," is set to launch today and will run through June 10th. This exciting update follows the trend of offering extensive content to soft launch players, much like the pre-launch event of Sonic Rumble with its crossover featuring top Sega icons.
One of the standout features of this season is the introduction of Arena mode, which brings competitive PvP to the game. In this mode, players will engage in intense 3v3, best-of-five deathmatches on randomized maps. To participate, you must reach at least level 10 and maintain a minimum equipment score of 500. You can also bring along a hired mercenary companion to enhance your team's capabilities.
Another major addition is the Shadow Realm, a new PvE mode where players can tackle weekly, escalating boss battles against formidable monsters. Before facing these bosses, you'll need to clear waves of lesser creatures, adding an extra layer of challenge. Access to this mode is available to players who have reached account level 15.
This pre-season #3 update also introduces a variety of other enhancements. The Guild Encampment provides a new social space for Guild members to interact and socialize. The Soulstone system allows players to equip a monster's soulstone at account level 8, granting new traits to enhance gameplay. Additionally, the Stat Tree system offers persistent progression, ensuring your efforts contribute to long-term growth. Alongside these, expect more loot, monsters, gear, and numerous quality-of-life improvements.
