Latest Deadlock update rebalances new heroes and nerf overall damage

by Connor Mar 01,2025

Valve's commitment to Deadlock continues, even without a rigid update schedule. Their latest patch isn't a massive overhaul, but it's significantly more than a minor adjustment. Detailed patch notes can be found on the official forums.

Following the January 18th introduction of four new heroes, balance tweaks swiftly followed. Holliday's Crackshot ability now affects units, halving its cooldown when doing so. Calico's Ava ability gains the capacity to destroy objects during its activation.

Existing heroes also received adjustments: Kelvin's health increased (600 to 650), while Vendicta experienced nerfs to both bullet speed (810 to 740) and movement speed (9 to 8). In total, eleven heroes, including the newcomers, were impacted by these targeted changes.

Deadlock remains in closed beta, boasting a stable online player base consistently between 7,000 and 20,000 players.
