PC Alpha Went Live on August 6, 2024!
The Delta Force PC Alpha Test went live at around Aug 5, 9 p.m. EDT / 6 p.m. PDT. However, on August 30, the developers announced that the Alpha Test would close on September 8, or Sept 7, 8 p.m. EDT / 5 p.m. PDT for the United States.
Fans had several opportunities to participate in the Alpha Test. They could sign up through the Delta Force Official Website, the Delta Force Official Steam Page, or by watching Delta Force Twitch Streams to receive Twitch Drops. Additionally, the official Twitter/X account regularly offered Alpha Test codes during special occasions and milestones.
July 24 Update: New Alpha Test Date Announced
Delta Force announced a new date for the delayed Alpha test for August 6, 2024! Fans could try their luck to get in through the official website, the official Steam page, or by obtaining keys through Twitch drops or giveaways. One notable giveaway was posted on their official Twitter/X account, where 100 lucky winners received codes for the Alpha test.
July 16 Update: Alpha Test Postponed
From the pre-alpha test that ran from July 11 - 15, the developers identified several critical errors that affected gameplay for a small subset of players. Consequently, they had to postpone the July Alpha test to work on fixes and ensure the best possible experience for players.
Initially Scheduled Alpha Test
Delta Force was originally set to hold its Alpha Test on July 18, with no disclosed end date. Fans could gain access by filling out player surveys on the official website, requesting access on the official Steam page, or watching content creators on Twitch.tv to receive Steam keys as Twitch Drops.
The pre-alpha test from July 11 to 15 served as a stress test, allowing a small subset of players to participate and help the developers before the actual Alpha Test. Requesting access through all available avenues might have granted early access.
The Alpha Test was exclusively for PC, accessible through the game's official client or Steam. Access to one platform did not guarantee access to the other, as cross-progression was not implemented for the alpha test.
