Netflix Unveils Devil May Cry Anime Opening Trailer, Featuring Limp Bizkit and a Multi-Season Plan
Netflix recently dropped the opening trailer for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime adaptation, shortly after announcing its April 3, 2025 premiere date. The trailer, set to Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'," showcases dynamic action sequences featuring a young Dante, Lady, and the White Rabbit, packed with nods to the game series.
Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his vision, explaining the series' late 90s/early 2000s setting and the deliberate choice of a period-appropriate soundtrack. Beyond Limp Bizkit, the anime will feature other tracks from that era, along with a synthwave remix of the game's soundtrack by Power Glove.
Shankar hinted at a multi-season arc, promising varied visual styles and soundtracks for future seasons to reflect the diverse nature of the Devil May Cry games.
Plot specifics remain under wraps, but the first season, comprising 8 episodes, is anticipated to adapt elements from the Code 1: Dante manga (based on Devil May Cry 3). This arc will center on a young Dante investigating a child's disappearance, forcing him to confront his father Sparda's demonic legacy and his own family history.
