Netflix has released a tantalizing teaser trailer for Love, Death + Robots Vol 4, packed with the series' signature stunning visuals and intriguing, bizarre concepts. In just a minute of footage, several captivating scenes stand out:

  • An epic space battle or catastrophic event
  • A puppet rock band performing
  • A claymation adult toy with enormous eyes
  • A priest strolling alongside an alien with tentacles on a beach
  • A tortured, possibly bionic woman accompanied by a cute fuzzball
  • Massive, menacing babies
  • Dinosaurs clashing in violent combat
  • An alien invasion depicted using miniatures
  • A disgusted cat observing the chaos

The series is executive produced by Tim Miller, the director of Deadpool, and David Fincher, known for Seven and The Social Network. Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who contributed to Kung Fu Panda 2 and Shrek Forever After, returns as the supervising director.

In a 2022 interview with Collider, Fincher expressed his hope for the series' legacy, stating, "If the legacy of Love, Death + Robots is that there are a handful, fifteen people, ten years from now who became directors or became animators or became motion capture performers or doing voice work because they were such big Love, Death + Robots fans, that's all I care about right now."

He further added, "This show was never going to pay for your Gulf Stream. You're either here because you want to be here or you're not here. We're hoping desperately to get to waste more of our lives toiling in obscurity."
