However, as you collect these butterflies, you'll uncover sinister notes revealing the true nature of the Butterfly Collector. Far from a harmless game, this group is a secret society of women intent on kidnapping children from affluent families to gain power and influence. Your mission is clear: you must stop them.
The Butterfly Collector faction consists of five members, each with their own dark role in this nefarious plot.
How and Where To Find All Butterfly Collector Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To locate these targets, you'll need to follow geographical clues scattered throughout the game. We'll provide you with the exact locations to streamline your hunt.
Shucho
Shucho's carelessness leads you to her in the Fishermen’s District, at the southeastern tip of Osaka. Dressed in green, she can be found frantically searching at an intersection. Dispatch her with Naoe’s blade or Yasuke’s weapons, then rescue the kidnapped child hiding behind nearby horses.
Mucho
Head northwest from Shucho's location, crossing the bridge to reach the Kojo ruins. Mucho, disguised as a family jochu, is struggling with her target on the road south of the ruins. Use the child's resistance to your advantage, engage Mucho in combat, and then safely return the child to her mother.
Richo
Richo, a young woman who pretends to be of higher standing, can be found in the bamboo grove at the northern end of Osaka, specifically in Noda Village across the water. Dressed in pink, she's checking on a ransom payment. Confront her, either stealthily or in combat, and rescue the child she's holding.
Kacho
After dealing with the previous three members, you'll face Kacho, the leader of the Butterfly Collector. Her location is just north of the Nishinomaru Garden, west of Osaka Castle, in a restricted zone. Look for a flurry of butterflies to find her. Engage her in conversation, then prepare for a deadly confrontation. Kacho's demise will leave one final thread to unravel.

The Gamemaker, who initiated the butterfly collecting quest, awaits your return. As a former victim, she created the game to expose the Butterfly Collector's activities and save others.
