Disney Mirrorverse to Cease Operations in 2023

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024. The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months of remaining playtime before the servers go offline.

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered players the chance to battle alongside reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. Kabam advises players to complete the remaining storyline before the game's closure.

While initially met with enthusiasm from Disney fans, the game's extended beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition. The challenging shard collection system, requiring significant investment to fully develop characters, also proved a deterrent. Despite these drawbacks, the game’s creative character designs and impressive graphics were widely praised.

The abrupt EOS announcement, following a recent content update including Cinderella as a playable character, surprised many players. This isn't Kabam's first game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
