Dragon Nest: Rebirth of Legend is an exciting mobile action RPG that revitalizes the classic Dragon Nest series for today's players. Set in the fantasy realm of Althea, the game lets you embark on an epic adventure as a hero, fighting powerful dragons, rediscovering forgotten legends, and defending the land from destruction. Equipping your character is a critical part of the experience, since most of your battle strength comes from the gear you wear. The game features various types of equipment and a wide range of upgrade systems to master. This guide offers a thorough breakdown of all the gearing mechanics, tailored for newcomers. Let’s get started!
What is Gearing in Dragon Nest: Rebirth of Legend?
Every character class in Dragon Nest: Rebirth of Legend can wear multiple items of gear. To equip a piece, simply click "Equip" after obtaining it. Your full equipment setup is visible in the "Character" menu, accessed from the rotating wheel on the right. There you’ll find 12 slots for different gear types, including:
Tiara
Robe
Tights
Sleevelets
Boots
Pendant
Necklace
Earrings
Ring 1
Ring 2
Primary Weapon
Secondary Weapon
Gear items have specific rarity levels and tiers. Higher rarity, shown by color, gives better stats, and higher-tier items also improve performance. You can collect gear by beating boss dungeons or joining special events. Salvaging unneeded items provides additional rewards—we’ll cover that later.

If you already have the crafting materials, a red dot will appear on the gear piece, signaling it’s ready to be forged. The Forge becomes especially valuable later on when you join friends to raid dungeons. High-level materials are mostly found in tougher battles, so teaming up is a must for challenging bosses.
