This guide details the "The Last Knight" side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region. This quest, while less expansive than the main storyline, offers a unique perspective on life outside Ragunna City and rewarding prizes.

The Last Knight is unlocked after completing Chapter 2 of the main storyline ("What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing"). It's recommended to finish Chapter 2, Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then.
Starting the Quest
Locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.
The Night Reveries
This involves a nighttime performance commemorating a legendary knight. You must defeat the Mad Knight, who appears between 6 PM and 6 AM, near the town's central pool. This enemy is not particularly challenging.
Mimic Chests
After defeating the Mad Knight, fly to Carlow's location (marked on your map) near a large purple flower in the tallest tower. Touching the flower transports you to an area with chests. The first three are genuine; in the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is real. Open it for Astrites and other rewards, but prepare for a mimic encounter afterward.
The Knight's Trail and Strange Scent
Follow quest markers and speak to NPCs to uncover the Mad Knight's supposed locations.
Abby will mention a strange scent. Following the marker leads to a Chop Chop battle. Using a Questless Knight Echo is recommended for parrying and stunning the Chop Chop. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the "legendary knight" was a fabrication.
Finding Carlow
Return to Egla Town during the day. Find Carlow in a town plaza, where he confronts and challenges knights, discarding his fantasy and embracing a true protector's role. The quest concludes with this challenge. You receive Union XP, Astrites, and resources as rewards.
