Dynasty Warriors: Origins, while not open-world, features a sizable map. Early exploration is straightforward, but later stages, with unlocked skirmishes and requests, necessitate frequent backtracking across the map. Fast travel significantly mitigates this.
How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Fast travel utilizes Waymarks accessible via the in-game map. Unlock Waymarks by approaching them on the world map and pressing X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox). Unlocked Waymarks then appear on the map screen for instant travel.
Access the map outside of battle by interacting with an unlocked Waymark or by pausing the game and navigating to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation players can also press the DualSense touchpad while on the world map for quicker access.
On the map screen, hovering over an unlocked Waymark reveals nearby locations and battles. Press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to toggle information, and Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to cycle through battles and locations. Select your desired destination to move the cursor to the nearest Waymark. This streamlined approach saves valuable time, particularly when completing side content.
