Fragrant Story Debuts on Switch, Papaya's Path Blossoms

by Julian Feb 02,2025

Hello fellow gamers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for August 26th, 2024! Today's update is a bit lighter than usual; I'm juggling some other projects, so reviews are on hold for now. However, we've got some interesting new releases and a solid selection of sales to explore. Let's dive in!

New Game Releases

Fragrant Story and Papaya's Path ($7.99)

Fragrant Story, a tactical RPG initially released for the Nintendo 3DS, had a rocky start. Early adopters found a surprisingly short experience. However, subsequent updates significantly expanded the game, resulting in a much more substantial adventure lasting over ten hours. This version includes all updates, making it a worthwhile purchase at $8 if you enjoy the genre.

Quack Jump ($3.99)

A straightforward platformer offering 40 levels with progressively introduced mechanics. At $4, it provides decent entertainment value.

Underground Station ($7.90)

An idle game where you work in a dungeon to pay off debts. The visuals might not be stunning, but it offers a different kind of gameplay experience.

Sales Spotlight

(North American eShop, US Prices)

Let's take a look at the current sales. Limited Run Games has another sale running, offering several of their unique titles. There are also sales featuring games from TROOOZE and Team17. Note that the sale on the Front Mission remakes is ending soon, so act fast if you're interested.
