Take-Two Interactive Looks To Have One Of Its Strongest Years
GTA 6 Release Window Still On Fall 2025
GTA 6 remains on course for a Fall 2025 release. This was confirmed during Take-Two Interactive's Q3 Earnings Conference Call on February 7, 2025, where the company outlined its current status and future plans for 2025.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed unwavering confidence in the Fall 2025 release of GTA 6, though he acknowledged the possibility of delays, noting, "Look, there's always a risk of slippage and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx things." Despite this, Zelnick remained optimistic, stating, "We feel really good about it," in reference to the expected release window. While he refrained from sharing specific details about the game's development, he emphasized Rockstar's pursuit of perfection, saying, "We know that Rockstar seeks perfection. I never claim success before it occurs. I'm fond of saying arrogance is the enemy of continued success, so we're all running scared and looking over our shoulders and we know that the competition is not asleep. Our whole organization is super excited."
Take-Two Interactive Game Releases In 2025
Zelnick highlighted the significant year ahead for Take-Two Interactive, with a lineup of major game releases planned for 2025. "Looking ahead, this calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two, as Sid Meier’s Civilization VII launched in Early Access today, with the official launch on February 11th, and we also plan to release Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall, and Borderlands 4 before year-end," he announced.
Regarding the company's outlook on the success of these upcoming titles, Zelnick was optimistic, stating, "We are exceedingly optimistic about the commercial potential of our titles and believe that they will have a transformative effect on our business – and our industry – over the long term." Take-Two Interactive also projected continued growth, expressing "high confidence that we will achieve sequential increases in, and record levels of, Net Bookings in Fiscal 2026 and 2027."

GTA 5 Actor Does Not Hate His Character
Fans have long speculated that Steven Ogg, the actor who plays Trevor in GTA 5, dislikes his association with the character. However, in an interview on the Inside You podcast, Ogg clarified these rumors. He explained that he doesn't mind the character but is uncomfortable when people call him by his character's name. "When people call you by your character name, it's kinda weird because I kinda get it, but I'm also like meh," Ogg remarked. He praised Trevor as a "great character" and mentioned that he remains friends with his co-stars Shawn Fonteno (Franklin) and Ned Luke (Michael), having recently reunited at a Comic Con event. In a separate interview with Screen Rant, Ogg humorously suggested that Trevor could appear in GTA 6 only to be killed off at the game's start. However, he confirmed that he has not recorded any lines for GTA 6 and has no information about Trevor's potential return.
