GTA Online: Boost Your Strength Fast

by Owen May 23,2025

While players can technically enjoy their Grand Theft Auto Online experience just cruising around the city and engaging in the occasional crime, the game does offer Statistics that players can level up to enhance their character’s overall performance. One of the key stats is Strength, which not only increases a player's resilience but also their physical power.

With a high Strength stat, players can endure more hits, excel in melee combat, perform better in sports, and even climb ladders faster. However, building up Strength is one of the more challenging aspects of GTA Online. Fortunately, with the right strategies, it's entirely achievable.

Good Old Fashioned Punching

Fighting Barehanded Raises Strength

Similar to systems used in games like The Elder Scrolls, players can improve their Strength by engaging in brawls. However, given the prevalence of using weapons like guns, opportunities for hand-to-hand combat are scarce. Players should seize these moments, as landing 20 punches on an opponent increases Strength by 1%. This applies to both AI pedestrians and rival players, making it a great opportunity to team up with a friend for mutual leveling.

Fail The Bar Resupply

It’s All About The Failed Delivery

With the installation of The Criminal Enterprises DLC, players gain access to the Motorcycle Club Clubhouse Bar and the "Bar Resupply" mission. This repeatable mission involves collecting supplies and returning them to the Clubhouse. Players should aim for the mission variant where they must intimidate an NPC to reveal the supply location. By punching the NPC until the mission fails due to a time limit, players can still retain the Strength gains from the punches. This method can be repeated to level up Strength quickly, though it may require some time to restart the mission until the desired parameters are met.

Get A Helping Hand

Cheat One’s Way To Strength Gains

In the world of GTA Online, where trust can be scarce, forming alliances and gangs can be beneficial for mutual survival and Strength gains. This method involves having a friend sit in a car while the player punches the vehicle for about 10 minutes. The game registers this as if the player is targeting the character inside, thereby increasing Strength. Players can then switch roles, allowing for casual conversation during the process.

Spam A Titan Of A Job

No Need To Steal A Plane

For a straightforward way to boost Strength, players can utilize the "A Titan of a Job" mission available at Rank 24. The mission involves stealing a Titan plane from Merryweather Security at Los Santos International Airport. However, players can avoid the airport and instead head to a high-pedestrian area to punch NPCs or other players without triggering a Wanted Level, thus gaining Strength experience.

Abuse Pier Pressure

Fight Everyone At The Beach

Similar to "A Titan of a Job," the "Pier Pressure" mission from Gerald offers another opportunity. Players are tasked with disrupting a drug deal between the Lost and the Vagos, but instead of completing the mission, they can head to Del Perro Beach and start a punching spree. Since no Wanted Level is triggered at the beach, players can repeatedly punch NPCs to maximize their Strength.

Stall Death Metal

Another Way To Abuse No-Wanted Level Missions

Another mission from Gerald, "Death Metal," involves sabotaging a drug deal at Rogers Salvage and Scrap Yard. Players can delay this mission to focus on Strength training. With no Wanted Levels, they can head to a crowded area like the beach to punch NPCs and increase their Strength.

Join A Fists-Only Deathmatch

For Fun, For Co-Leveling

Thanks to the Content Creator, players can engage in custom Deathmatches where fists are the only weapons allowed. These matches not only provide fun but also a great way to level up Strength, as many players recognize the benefits of fist-fighting for this purpose.

Create A Survival Mission

Test A Game To Oblivion

Using the Content Creator, players can design Survival missions with barehanded enemies at low difficulties. By testing these missions, players can increase their Strength even during trial runs, making it an effective way to level up.

Close The Metro For A Fistfight

Brute-Force NPCs Into A Chokehold

One of the most effective ways to improve Strength is by punching NPCs. Metro stations are ideal for this, as NPCs naturally congregate there. By blocking the entrance or exit with a large vehicle, players can trap NPCs and punch them to increase their Strength significantly.

Get Golfing

A Casual Sport That Improves Strength

Surprisingly, Golf is a popular minigame in GTA Online that also helps improve Strength. Higher Strength leads to longer drives, making it a fun and casual way to level up. Players can access Golf via the map, invite friends, or compete with others, focusing on trajectory and timing to get the ball into the hole with as few strokes as possible.
